Free Inclusions with our Hearing Aids
(which you may not be getting elsewhere!)
Calibration, Tuning and Ongoing Support
Without professional calibration and tuning, you are likely to be disappointed with even the most high-tech and expensive hearing aid. ‘Health & Hearing’ advise you to return to one of our clinics for tuning after 14 days, 30 days, 6 months and 12 months. We offer this professional service free to patients (valued at $165 per tuning session).
Risk-Free ‘Love It Or Return It’ Guarantee
It may take some time for you to get used to your new hearing aids (just as it takes time to get used to a new pair of glasses). You will suddenly hear noises you didn’t realise you were missing. While this will be exciting, it may be a little disconcerting at first.
We suggest you give yourself time – at least several weeks – to put your new hearing aids to the test. Wear them at home, at the shopping centre, to a movie, out to dinner, and doing whatever you normally enjoy doing. Visit your local ‘Health & Hearing’ clinic for your scheduled tune ups (more often if you feel you need to).
In the unlikely event your new hearing aids aren’t everything you expected them to be -- and if we can’t adjust them and make you feel totally comfortable -- we’ll give you a prompt and courteous refund (less a small fee of $100 to cover restocking). This is a valuable benefit not offered by many other clinics, hearing aid shops or online retailers.
For total peace of mind you we give you a 3 Year Warranty with your hearing aids. Wear them confidently knowing in the unlikely event there’s an issue, you are covered. For added peace of mind you can take out an extra 1 to 2 years of warranty cover if you like.
Many other clinics and hearing aid shops offer a limited 1 year warranty. And some online stores offer no Australian warranty at all.
Are you comparing Apples with Apples?
Every business has a unique purpose and an ideal client, they are made for each other. You can’t please everyone the old saying goes.
At Health and Hearing we are very clear about our purpose and about what type of clients we want to serve. We understand that helping clients of all ages get the best hearing aid for them, calibrated to their needs, with after sales support is where we shine.
So, we may not be the lowest price and certainly aren’t the highest, but somewhere just above the middle. We however provide the best value proposition in Brisbane. This allows us to provide quality service at an affordable price with experienced professional staff.
We don’t want to be at the bottom price point, as the personal service and expertise we provide is valuable to our clients, and they aren’t generally looking to haggle over price. They just want the right solution for them and when they achieve it, they are loyal and tell other people.
If you troll the internet you will be able to find a pair of the top of the range and current model hearing aids for around $8000. If the price is less than that, it is most likely the older and superseded models.
We have one superseded model we prescribe, last generation top model, reduced from $5000 to $2989 each all inclusive and fully serviced.
This device have the strongest noise reduction of any hearing aid, combines with superb sound quality, at $2989 this is the cheapest quality hearing aid you will find anywhere.
If you think that might be right for you, then just call us on 07 3366 9355 to make an appointment for a no obligation trial.
For the exactly the same current model hearing instrument, the prices vary from $8000 to just under $12000. Be aware, the hearing aid model might be the same, but the service package and practitioner experience varies a lot.
So why is there such a difference, the difference must be in the ‘other’ you are getting such as the service and know-how/expertise.
What could possibly go wrong?
Hearing aids come blank and without any programming, they must be setup and calibrated to work. This is an art-form few Audiologists master well.
The hearing aid manufacturers fitting software helps us setup basic programming/calibration. This basic calibration only provides an ordinary outcome, and very rarely a stoked client.
At Health and Hearing we don’t stop there.
When the instrument is poorly calibrated the user has to return to the clinic many times for fine-tuning, wasting their valuable time. Also sometimes all those extra appointments are billed... there goes that initial savings!
The top of the range has close to a hundred adjustment parameters that must be set and adjusted to get the best possible performance. All these trimmers and their settings, enable the possibility of literally a million different hearing instruments.
Owner, Soren has worked in senior management for 3 of the largest hearing aid manufacturers in the world, and now has over 30 years’ experience. This has given him the know-how to develop a unique way of calibrating the hearing aids, resulting in a much better outcome for our clients.
At H&H we also have technology where we can adjust your devices remotely (at no cost at all to you). This means you can sit at your desk at home or at work and discretely have your hearing aids altered to your needs, and it only takes a minute.
What you are getting when you decide to go with mid to high price practitioners, is more skills and know-how, resulting in a far better outcome for your investment. I have personally seen many hearing aids calibrated so poorly that a well calibrated mid-range instrument at half the price would easy outperform that poorly calibrated top of the range instrument.
Do yourself a favour, make an appointment today, to receive a precise hearing test and a professional recommendation on what hearing aids will best suit you. You’ll leave with a good understanding of your needs, a 14 day love it or return it guarantee, so you can trial the hearing aids, and you are welcome back any time in the next 365 days for free adjustments, should you need it!
And of course, your hearing aids will be perfectly calibrated with our special H&H formula, for the very best performance and comfort.
Now that is value for money!
